Effective as of October 2007, Brenico Media will be managing, in association with the Infictive County Arts Board and private investors, the Libreville music label Infictive County Records.
As part of a concerted effort by Infictive County Records to draw in new audiences to the infictive sound, this change in management and policy has seen a flow of new albums added to the music catalogue, including for the first time non-local artists like Black Circle, Philip K. Nixon, and WAC new-comer August Glitch.
“It is our firm belief that Infictive County Records has a responsibility to the Infictive community, and, in acting on this responsibility, we at Brenico Media hope to ensure a strong future for not only all the present and future artists living in the county, but the artists inspired by the legends it has produced, and the legends that have in turn inspired Infictive. As a historical marker and archive of one of the coolest scenes in all of North America, Infictive County Records is a necessary institution, and we will proudly serve in its expansion and preservation.”
Maxwell King, on Brenico’s commitment to I.C.R.
