Occult – Talk, Occult – Talk.
It’s the show – about – the – Occult.
Winner of the “Best Alternative Talk Program” Irma four years running (2002 – 2005), the underground hit Occult Talk was the type of true phenomena of late-late night television that only comes along once in a lifetime, and usually on public access. Every week, this exciting and often off-the-rails program revealed to its dedicated audience the true face of the occult and the fringe. Often bordering on the unbelievable and obscene in its pursuit, there is no denying that the self-proclaimed “No Hex Zone” had a spark of greatness that could not be put down.
Occult Talk wrapped in early 2006, concluding a five-and-a-half year run as the toast of the occult television talk circuit.
“I do not wish to mourn the memory of Occult Talk. It is not something to be mourned as it is not far gone from us, from any of us, so long as we keep the essence of the show alive. If not in presence, it remains embodied in an unflappable spirit that permeates all who experienced it with us, and we thank you all for joining us in this experience, an experiment that may never again be attempted, but, then again, perhaps shall.”
Owing to a tragic fire at storage facilities of the show’s distributor (ISM — now defunct), Brenico Media is unable to offer any archival or syndication footage of this program. Any fans able and willing to provide us with personal VHS or DVD copies are encouraged to contact us with more information. Thank you.
